Antique Old World Ethereal Beauty Wedding Gown

The lovely owner of Garbo Vintage, Yvonne Correa Plaza, offered to take photos of me in her most treasured pieces. Above and below, a 1920's wedding gown in ivory silk and antique lace. A dress that truly makes a woman feel like a Goddess ...♥. Yvonne had another wedding dress in a unique beautiful turquoise aqua color; probably colored from the original ivory into a party dress after the wedding. Ah the practicality of the 1940's... It fitted beautifully with an antique piano shawl in turquoise, with coral roses...

 A real darling was also this pearl-encrusted satin vintage evening bag ♥.

... and other vintage tresors...♥. Richly decorated details... In satin, silk, tulle, leather, fur... Garbo Vintage is a real treasure trove. The more you dig, the more treasures come up. The jacket is ocelot. Like something straight out of Aladdin's cave... I loved (and bought) these long ivory colored 1920's shammy gloves with tiny buttons... Too luxurious, and in perfect shape. Ah. Yvonne's most precious piece (at least one of them) is this 19th century wedding gown in silk and handmade lace, with a long divine train... It is so gorgeous form all angles; below, from the back: To top it all, the simple silk dress on the inside can be worn separately, after: Soooooo yummy... Every vintage boutique must have at least a little bit of Audrey in it... ...a little something from the legendary Savile Row...

A little something that put a smile on my lips today: My sweet new bohemian pouch... Chocolate and oldrosa roses, freshwaterpearls... and a little teapot detail! Sorry, Vuitton, you just can't make them this cute♥! ~*♥*~

... in some of my most beloved jewellery, that is. My Father bought me this bracelet over thirty years ago from a sprawling Zambian marketplace. The memory of our little excursion is extremely precious to me, so the piece that brings that memory alive is... priceless. The noise and smells of that day are still vividly carved into my mind. A plaza of sand and dirt, surrounded by more or less torn down tent-like constructions where the silver- and goldsmiths lived, worked and found shelter from the scortching sun. Their tools were extremely basic; hammers of different sizes, some nails for carving, a little fireplace. But they turned filthy pieces of metal into delicate pieces of art. Mine is 100 % handmade. We watched it being made. Quite to the contrary, my Venetian Vintage Cameo Necklace has been created (nearly a hundred years ago) in the city of opulence - a gorgeous abundance of everything. History. Elegance. Beauty. As far from the dirt tracks as you can get, I'd say. The stories behind these two rare and beautiful pieces are so strikingly different that I keep and sometimes use them toghether. They somehow complement each other. At least in my mind. But then again, even I think that my mind is a funny thing. ~*♥*~

I'm wondering whether I should shift into writing in English as this has been requested by so many... It appears that LadyBohemia has quite a following abroad - to my great surprise. So... maybe I'll give it a little try. Please do let me know if you find the change inconvenient; I'll reconsider based on feedback:). But no more talk. Just a  rain of photos. My faves from the next Odd Molly season: I love the flaming red of this silk dress, especially when combined with these gipsy earrings: Odd Molly will also display sunglasses next summer; I've seen them and they remain true to the Odd Molly style; gorgeous, uniquely decorated, sweet. So the theme is New York which brings a more rugged, edgyer feel to the collection. ~*~ "i dare you. join me at the top. as where some stop, i go." ~*~ But, remaining true to the core and soul of the brand, we don't quite bid farewell to the Bohemian Fairy Princess who epitomizes the heart of what is Odd Molly... The softness of fabrics and design, the delicate lacyness of it all... Vintage Odd Molly. And last but definitely not the least, the crochet-work that Odd Molly does soooooo well. I've already reserved this skirt... To wear with a simple top next summer... AND a little underskirt as I'm not quite as bold as the modelgirl... Let me tell you ladies; I've seen most of these pieces and they're actually even more divine in reality:). A little ps. I've been asked if I'm paid for complementing certain brands or boutiques - I'm not. I just call it as I see it ♥. ~*♥*~

Joita voit lisätä asuusi joko säästellen, tai herskytellen... Fiiliksen mukaan.

Esimerkiksi. Poimi kaapistasi yksinkertainen neulemekko, johon lähdetään lisäämään näitä detaljeja yksitellen; voit lopettaa siinä missä oma rajasi tulee vastaan...

Simppelin neulemekon kaunistaa vaikkapa tämä ihana käsintehty BohemianRosalia -shaalini (valitset vain omasta vaatekaapistasi jonkin ns. Signature Piecen. Erityisen asusteen jota rakastat; antiikkikorun, pitsihuivin, näyttävän hiuskoristeen...)

Käytän oman shaalini kanssa ruusukkeiden värisiä neulemekkoja; creamy tai deepdusty hazelnut, yksinkertaisia, pehmeitä, istuvia (italialaiset osaavat muuten tehdä parhaat neulemekot; sellaiset ohuenohuet mutta lämpimät, jotka istuvat kuin hansikas ja korostavat tasan oikeita kohtia. Ja jos tiedät mistä haet, ne eivät ole edes kalliita). Koska shaali valuu päälle pehmeästi ja vaihtelee asentoaan kantajan liikkeiden mukana, tippuu toiselta olkapäältä tms., tulee neulemekon puolestaan olla kurveja hyväilevä. Kaunis decoltee, istuva käsivarsista, vyötäröltä, ja siitä alaspäinkin. Koska shaali on niin koristeellinen ja naisellinen, ei mekossa saa olla mitään ylimääräisiä härpäkkeitä. Niin ja kun shaalissa on on tuollainen ihana ylöspäin nouseva Marie Antoinette -henkinen kaulus, kannattaa sitä korostaa vaikka sellaisella boheemilla löyhällä kiharanutturalla, joka jättää kaulan ja niskan näkyviin mutta josta putoilee (ihan satunnaisia) kiharoita kasvoja reunustamaan.. Ehkä joku niskaankin... MMmmmMmmmmm... Inspiroidun shaalistani jo itsekin. Tähän lisäisin vielä sellaisen aidoista pienistä helmistä tehdyn yksinkertaisen vyön löyhästi lantiolle, ihan vain koristamaan ja korostamaan kurveja oikeista paikoista. Sellaista minulla ei vielä ole mutta tulee olemaan... Jos se minusta riippuu... Sitten mokkasaappaat (koroilla, aina) ja menoksi. Siinä se on... Efekti on säväyttävä... Olen testannut. Voi kuulostaa monimutkaiselta mutta EI SE OLE. Kokeile:). Ps. Jos haluat pikkuisen räväyttää voit lisätä tähän vielä verkkosukat (kermanvärisen mekon kanssa kermanväriset etc...). Mutta ehkä sitä varten on parempi olla vaikkapa siellä Italiassa; tällä kotisuomessa saatat huomaamattasi räväyttää hieman enemmän kuin odotitkaan:) :) :) :). Nimim. Kokemusta on.. ~*♥*~
