~* It's all in the little things *~

Today, I want to share with you, the littlest thing that made my day.

I bump into a local guy, a musician of some sort, almost every day at our local coffee shop just around the corner. We exchange an accidental "hi" and "how's your day" every now and then (he's not born Finnish so a few words, even to a stranger, come easy). We're not friends but have been casually friendly for the longest time.

And today, I was feeling particularly run down. Hardly any sleep for quite some nights, dark circles around my eyes, sadness combined with no make-up. And I won't even start with my hair.

When I stepped in he looked up and kept on looking. "I just have to tell you, wow", he said, with some serious oooooooooomph. "There's something about you... Wow Kaisu."

The only even remotely wow-ish thing about me were the Kristina Viirpalu stay-up stockings I was testing, but fine. There are moments when just a few kind words of a stranger can lift a person off the ground.

And for the rest of this day, I've held my head a little bit higher. I didn't so much feel like I just wanted to crawl into bed and pull a cover between me and the world.

Despite the dark circles around the eyes, despite the reasons behind the dark circles.

Thank you, you stranger. I know we'll remain coffee break acquaintances. But although you'll never know it, on a day I felt the  lowest of the low, you made a difference.

It IS all in the littlest things.

~* Lioness *~

There's a story attached to this picture, including a man having problems with my sons speaking French in a tram, leading to me being called a whore in front of my child, ending with a real Lioness moment. Coming up...  Gotta give the young gentleman in the photo his dinner & bath first. He also enjoys foot massages, and a good story for the evening. This might in fact take some time... But I know you understand ♥.

~* from bazar to bordel *~

both mean MESS and that is the case. [caption id="attachment_13231" align="aligncenter" width="400"]IMG_0920 it's a little more than dusty chez nous[/caption]

Again my dear readers, I apologize for not being more present and more in touch... But as you can see, I've been busy :).

IMG_0928Kitchen... Not so much home cooking this summer. [caption id="attachment_13234" align="aligncenter" width="500"]IMG_0934 floors are looking for the ideal color..[/caption] But I am so lucky to have the best ever renovation guys doing all this with and for me. Really, they make living amongst this mess bearable and even fun. Every evening they dig out a mattress or a sofa for me to camp in for the night... Check where to put it, so there isn't so much light that it would keep me awake.. Really so sweet. One day I was trying to figure places for lamps and paintings but couldn't really get the full picture of the dimensions - as you can see the roof and walls are all quite unorthodox.. And Heikki and Jorma just volunteered to carry our piano to it's normal place - in this mess!!! - so that I could better grasp how my lamps would look around it. Who would do that? Well my guys are just the best. IMG_0922And I was so grateful for the piano carrying that we finished the day with some sparkling wine on the balcony :). ~*♥*~
