what is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to you?
that's something I'm negotiating with myself on this particular sleepless night. feels rather appropriate a topic, it being Christmastime and all.
It’s hard to pick one thing because there are (fortunately!) many. But the first thing that comes to mind today is this and I really truly think that it’s one of the best things anyone can ever say to me. It’s a part of a conversation about why this person likes me: “… because you’ve kind of always really understood the music thing. And there really are only a few people in the world who understand anything about music.” :)
I like it… A rare gem as far as compliments go. But very you.
…I guess I didn’t stay up quite late enought last night as I didn’t reach a conclusion of the sweetest thing, ever. But after last week’s interview on childhood bullying I have received feedback, comments and private stories that have touched me beyond words.
So – after everything sweet, kind and true my kids have said to me – I’d choose all those kind, compassionate and comforting words of friends and strangers, from last week.
